Listen to the Street Preacher. He is trying to save you.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
1 John 2:15-17
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
Knock, knock. Have you found Jesus?
“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
“’You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord…”
Sunday School teacher Mrs. Mulberry tackles a tough conversation with Jeremiah’s parents.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.”
“Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
What About Easter?
One of these holiday figures is about to get the boot.
“He then began to teach them the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.”
1 John 2:15-17
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
What The Halo?
An angel an ex-con and a youth pastor are on their way to Creation Festival. What could go wrong?
“While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them…the men said to them, ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!’”
“But he gives us more grace. That is why scripture says: ‘God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.’”
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
